Approximately 1,600 students live in 10 residence halls on the Lander University campus, and about half of these students are first-time freshmen.
First-time freshmen live in residence halls that are designated as first-time freshman only or in residence halls where specific buildings or floors are reserved for first-time freshmen. These residence halls vary in style from suites to apartment-style living.
Designated freshmen housing areas are:
First-time freshmen live in these areas for one year only; following their first year on campus, they move to the upperclassmen areas, should they decide to continue living on campus.
