Japanese Tea Ceremony held at Lander

Focus on Japan - Tea Ceremony 

William Holt, a tea master of the Higo Koryu School of Tea in Japan, conducts a tea ceremony at Lander University as part of the university's Focus on Japan observance. He also described the traditions associated with the ceramic vessels used in the ceremony, many of which he made. From left, Holt, Reiko Blackwell who is also an experienced tea hostess; Lander senior visual arts major Elizabethe Johnson of Greenwood, who has visited Japan three times, once for a semester of study at Kwansei Gakuin University near Kobe; and Joe Sagara of Greenville, a junior majoring in accounting.
