Race Information

JoggingFebruary 23rd, 2013, marks the 2nd Annual Bearcat Breakout 5K. This is a community event hosted by The PEES (Physical Education & Exercise Studies) Club, a student organization at Lander University.

The Bearcat Breakout is intended to be an annual community event that promotes the health and fitness of our community by adopting an active lifestyle. As an additional way to provide outreach within the Greenwood area, all proceeds will be presented to a local organization or charity that embodies the spirit and promotes the strong values of the Greenwood community. This year’s recipient will be the Connie Maxwell Children’s Home. Hosting this event at Lander University also provides an avenue for students, staff, and faculty to serve the community in which we live. Service inside and outside of the University is something that is strongly encouraged and supported at Lander.

We have more awards available this year. We will award the Top 3 overall male and female finishers, the Top male and female Master’s finisher (40 and over), and the Top 3 boy and girl finishers (14 and under).
