  • Lander international programs enjoy success placing students in foreign study

    Lander University students and faculty will continue piling up frequent flyer miles over the summer, taking advantage of international study in several countries. Dr. DeWitt Stone, director of Lander's Study Abroad Program, said before the year is out, 13 faculty members will have led 67 students on study tours in Europe, Central America and Asia.

Dr. DeWitt Stone Jr., director of the program, said more than 100 Lander students have enrolled in a college or university abroad for a semester or a summer study term since he became director in 2005.

  • Increasing number of Lander students are taking advantage of opportunities for international study

    Lander University's Study Abroad Program passed a milestone early in May when four students traveled to Spain to begin a special study program for education majors. Their participation in the trip raises to more than 100 the number of Lander students to have enrolled in a college or university abroad for a semester or a summer study term since the current program began in the spring of 2005.

  • Lander observes 'Study Abroad Week'

    The week of Jan. 30 - Feb. 3 is Study Abroad Week at Lander University and throughout the week students will have opportunities to learn more about Lander's international programs and talk with others who have studied at foreign universities.   • Lander students head for overseas studies at schools in six countries

    Thirteen Lander University students will spend the spring 2012 semester studying at colleges and universities in Spain, Argentina, Italy, England, Chile and New Zealand. Dr. DeWitt Stone Jr., director of Lander's Study Abroad Program, said this is a record number of Lander students selected to spend a semester at international schools.
