Instructor/Assistant Professor, Environmental Chemistry

Lander University, a public comprehensive university in the Upstate region of South Carolina, seeks qualified candidates to teach undergraduate general chemistry and environmental science courses. Rank and tenure status contingent upon degree and experience. Starting date for the position is August, 2014.

Required qualifications: Minimum requirement is a MS degree in Chemistry. A PhD in Chemistry preferred with an emphasis in Environmental Chemistry or related field. Qualified candidates will have demonstrable skills related to instruction of undergraduate students.

Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate general chemistry and environmental science courses, assisting the department with recruiting and advising students in the Environmental Science and Chemistry Degree programs, and supervising student workers who assist with laboratory set-up.
