Instructor of Biology

Lander University, a public comprehensive university in the Upstate region of South Carolina, seeks qualified candidates to teach introductory level biology labs. This is a continuing, non-tenure-track appointment. Starting date for the position is August, 2014.

Required qualifications: Minimum requirement is a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. An M.S. in Biology is desirable. Qualified candidates will have demonstrable skills in instructing human anatomy and introductory biology laboratories, including the use of computer technology to support such instruction.

Responsibilities include teaching human anatomy laboratories and introductory Biology laboratories, primarily for non-majors, supervising student workers who assist with laboratory set-up, and academic advising for a small number of students.
