Lecturer of Exercise Science

Lander University, a public state-supported institution in South Carolina, seeks to fill a full-time, nine-month (academic year, summer employment possible), non tenure-track position at the lecturer level in Exercise Science, to begin in August of 2014.
Responsibilities: Teach undergraduate Exercise Science-related courses (history and principles of physical education/exercise science, wellness, personal health and health promotion, physiology adaptations to aging, adult fitness evaluation, nutrition and performance, exercise testing and prescription, lifetime activity classes) based on academic skills and departmental need, advise students, engage in scholarship and service to the department, university and the community.
Required: A minimum of a masters degree in Exercise Physiology or Exercise Science or related area.
Preferred: Teaching experience at the university level, clinical exercise physiology background, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and ACSM, NSCA, and NASM certification(s) are strongly desired.
