Lander University visual arts students pose with "Mommy's Little Peapod," by Adri Diaz, of Saluda (far right). Diaz's sculpture is one of numerous "anthropomorphic flowers" just installed at Lander's "Art Corner," at the intersection of Maxwell Avenue and Edgefield Street, in Uptown Greenwood. The sculptures, created in assistant professor of art Doug McAbee's advanced sculpture class, will be on display through the summer. From left to right are Brittni Johnson, of Athens, Ga.; Corey Benjamin, of Atlanta, Ga.; Jensea Barker, of Simpsonville; Ali Hammond, of Saluda; Melissa Humphries, of Greenwood; Jermel Kennedy, of Toronto, Canada; Vincent Wald, of Hodges, and Diaz.
