Assistant/Associate Professor in Art History
The College of Arts and Humanities at Lander University is seeking applicants for a full time, tenure track Assistant/Associate Professor position in Art History.
The applicants should be broadly-trained art history generalists with the ability to teach basic introduction classes and specialized courses. The ideal candidate will have strong ambition, a good sense of humor, and the desire to work with enthusiastic community-minded colleagues. The candidate should have a passion for teaching and a willingness to work with diverse student bodies.
A Ph.D. in Art History is required. Teaching experience is preferred. The candidates should be committed to Lander’s a mission of teaching, student advisement, and nurturing scholarly activity. Service to the department and university are expected.
The Lander University Art Department manages, maintains, and promotes the Lander University Monsanto Art Gallery. The candidate for this position will be expected to contribute significantly to these tasks throughout each academic year. The starting date is August 2014.
