MONDAY-FRIDAY (Feb 24-28)
Row Bowling (“Row”-ling) Tournament – Come by our Fitness Center and grab one of our attendants and head to the rowing machines! You’ll get 10 chances (frames) at rowing to land exactly on 100 meters. Your score for each frame is how many meters below or above 100m you are on. And the last frame counts as a cancelling out round, if you row right on 100m, you keep rowing. For each 100m, it replaces a higher score from your previous rounds. The lowest score from the entire week will win!
Monday, 2/24, 6-9pm
UPC Laser Tag – Come out to the Chandler Center gym and play endless games of laser tag! This event will be sponsored by Lander UPC and will correspond with our recreational/fitness events all week!
Tuesday – 2/25, ALL-DAY
Faculty/Staff vs. Students One-Mile Challenge – Come by our Fitness Center and grab one of our attendants and head to the treadmill! You can walk/jog/run your way to one mile and this will count to your “team’s” total. The group with the most miles at the end of the day will win! This is mainly a participation event and only one mile per person will count towards your “team’s” total.
Wednesday, 2/26, 6:15pm, 7:15pm, 8:15pm, 9:20pm
Basketball Events – Slam Dunk Contest, 3-Point Contest, Knockout - Come out to Intramural Basketball in the Chandler Center gym and before each game we will have a 3-Point Contest where you will get to shoot 5 balls from 3 racks against a 40 second clock. We will also have a gym wide game of Knockout during halftime of each intramural game. And last, but not least, we will have a Slam Dunk Contest at the end of the intramural night around 9:20pm! Participants for the Dunk contest will need to sign up with me, Matthew Gilstrap, beforehand to ensure their spot in the contest.
Thursday, 2/27, 6:30pm-9pm
Strongest Bearcat – Men’s and Women’s Weightlifting Event that will consist of Squat, Bench Press, and Deadlift. There will be two overall winners along with winners for each weight class. The overall winners will be Top Weight Lifted by % for Male and Female. (All rules are attached)
