For those with questions about college, there will be no better place to be than at Greenwood Mall on Wednesday, Sept. 7, when representatives from more than 40 colleges and universities from across the state and elsewhere will be on hand for College Night.
Lander University’s Office of Admissions is organizing the event, which is sponsored by the Carolinas Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (CACRAO).
From 6-8 p.m., attendees can meet with admissions personnel from the various public and private schools scheduled to attend, including: Lander University, Piedmont Technical College, Anderson University, Erskine College, Furman University, Winthrop University, Presbyterian College, The Citadel, Francis Marion University, Clemson University and the University of South Carolina.
"This is a wonderful opportunity for college seekers and their families to learn more about the many educational opportunities available in the state and region," said Jennifer Mathis, Lander’s director of Admissions. "It's also a convenient way to visit with each of these colleges and universities without having to travel across the state."
A financial aid representative will also be available to provide information about sources of financial aid, as well as to offer advice on how and when to apply for it.
