Lander plans exciting return for students

August 04, 2011

Move-In DayAs summer draws to a close, students across the country are returning to their respective campuses and many are gearing up for their first college experiences.

On the Lander University campus, faculty have already returned to prepare for their classes. Glimpses of increased campus activity become more frequent each day and the entire university community is preparing to say farewell to the quiet calm of summer and embrace the hustle and bustle of the 2011-2012 school year.

The university has planned many exciting activities to get the year rolling with fun and fellowship.

Residence halls open for freshmen Saturday, Aug. 27, starting at 9 a.m., and returning students can begin moving in Sunday, Aug. 28. Classes begin Thursday, Sept. 1.

In the event of inclement weather, Freshman Move-In Day activities will continue as scheduled. Please contact the Department of Housing and Residence Life at 864-388-8266 with any questions.

A collection of campus events for the upcoming semester can be found on the main university event calendar.
